Played it on the Switch after getting it on sale for like $5. Definitely worth 5 bucks but can't recommend getting it at normal price. Chucklefish published games seem to have become fairly hit or miss. This one has beautiful pixel graphics going for it and some spooky parts in the game (jump scares) and some interesting puzzle solving moments. And that to me is worth the five bucks. I've played a LOT of games in my life so being surprised by something in a game is worth five bucks to me. But overall it just felt like a demo for a better game.

Inmost

The survival (crafting/cooking) is great, probably my favorite after a terribly underrated game called Junk Jack. The fighting is decent, it does the job and there are some cool perks from outfits like becoming invisible while crouching. Weapons, long and short range, are good and while there aren't a ton at least they are varied. Story is whatever. But my god do I hate the sailing aspect. Sometimes it's amazing and it works and the music picks up and it's so relaxing. Other times you're a snailturtle and barely moving three centimeters per hour. It's painful. And irony is this game is called Windbound but sometimes it's more like your tied up by the wind. I wouldn't have purchased this game but it's on Games with Gold (Xbox) so I gave it a try. I'll see it through to the end because I love collecting stuff in games. But I'd say wait for a sale of you're planning on buying. 3/5 isn't so bad, and it's surely replayable if you enjoy it, but it's not something I'd recommend to a friend unless they really hate the wind and want to feel that in a game as well.

Windbound

Big GoT fan. Didn't mind the ending of that series but it surely could have been 100% better. So going into I was expecting fun characters, political/societal intrigue, great cinematography, and butts. And that's pretty much what we got. The first episode of Game of Thrones, if memory serves, ended with an OMG moment when J-Lanny let Bran fly. Plus catching the two siblings hooking up, that was a shocking ending that made everybody live the next week on the edge of their seats waiting to find out what happens next. Even me as a book reading snob, it was so exciting seeing it on TV. There's no ending scene like that in the pilot episode. Sure, something happens that is a first for that society but we spent like a decade watching a Targaryen become a fearsome warrior queen. So it's not new or shocking for us. But there are still some excellent scenes thought the episode and it's setting up to be a great series. I already know everything that will happen but will enjoy watching it get fleshed out and seeing new things or changed things. Very glad Westeros is back.

Not really a huge Jeff Goldbum fan but I understand the appeal now after seeing a few episodes of season 1. He's not playing a character (some people seem to be confused about him acting as Jeff Goldbum, like this is the first show they've seen with a host just being host), he's just being his curious self. He does act goofy at times but that's his appeal I guess. It's not the most informative show, just interesting. Like, it hasn't done deep dives on topics but feeds you just enough to understand the current world of that episodes topic. I like it and will keep watching to the end but it's not going on my top ten shows or anything. Still, 5 stars as I am fully entertained and smiling through most episodes.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum

Really enjoying this game. Genre is similar to Hades so you have your dying over and over and upgrading in between runs. Less enemies per level but it does get hard after you beat the first area. At first it seems very basic but after bearing the first area and dying a few times in the second you start unlocking lots of features. Art direction is great, a very dreamy feeling. Lots of weapons (melee and ranged), upgrades, magic powers... Shame it didn't become as popular air deserves to be.

Eurovision Song Contest

Despite it's repetitiveness the story sink it's teeth into me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. Well, I actually uninstalled it when I was maybe 15% through because I kept dying in one mission. But it kept popping into my head that a few days later I reinstalled and enjoyed it once again. My jaw has dropped a few times while playing, mainly in the beginning story but there are plenty of story beats and dialogue that hit hard. One of the best stories in games that I've experienced in years. It's a beautiful open world recreation of the late 60s. Everybody touches on how it includes racism and I appreciate that they kept it realistic. The US has been a racist hotbed since it was founded and the game takes place when finally people started really pushing against it. The gunfights are fun, the stealth is solid... The music and driving are lovely. The one thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars, other than repetitiveness, is how damn buggy it is. Even with the updates it often freezes for a few seconds or quest givers suddenly decide they want to be NPCs. Not game breaking but surely annoying. If you're looking for an open world crime game is actually recommend the Watch Dogs series first but Mafia 3 as a close third place.
