I recall the film, the cinematography. There drama, the tense lead up when Shane leaves the young boy who needed a father figure...and the devastating loss of that figure...Shane rides off to solve one, final lawbreakers and make his West safe...against the backdrop of the powerful drama of the Teton Range, probably the most dramatic prop ever presented on American film to that film release, 1953.
Of course I have prejudice, having been to Jackson Hole and often there after until the involving guest ranch lost it's prestigious history when it was settled in late 1890s..That site remains in use as the Climbers Camp.
