I won't go as far as saying it's not worth watching, but, it didn't really succeed for me. I think had Sian's character been more subtle, it would have been more powerful; it all got a bit too over dramatic when it didn't need to. SPOILER: The plot wasn't believable at all in places! Who in their right mind allows a complete stranger to walk in through their front door, bag a room with a reference from their aunt and then pay off their plumbing debt of over £2k in cash!?? All in the space of 5 minutes. Seriously? It had potential but really could have been so much better. Jill Halfpenny didn't pull it off and although the other actors were better imo, the plot and script let them down.

This started well. 2-3 episodes in I was hooked and then it was a downward spiral from there. This could have been excellent, but sadly it wasn't. I blame the writers, not the acting. There were parts that had the potential to grow into something really chilling with an amazing twist, and I think that was the aim, but, the twist was the kind that makes you roll your eyes to the ceiling. I sat with my arms folded thinking 'oh god, come on, really?' It could have been so much better. I've been giving BBC and ITVX some time recently and frankly, I feel much better about my Netflix subscription.

One of the most underrated Christmas films ever in my opinion. So few have even heard of it. It's become one of my favourite Christmas movies and it's one I make a point of watching every year. The cast is wonderful and the supernatural elements were so unexpected - a different kind of Christmas magic for sure. It's very touching - particularly so with Robin Williams playing the part he does and Paul Walker being so young and full of life. Christmas isn't full of joy for everyone and this movie highlights that..but it also shows us the strength of human kindness and understanding, which succeeds in lifting the spirits despite some of its darker moments. The storyline is intriguing, the acting is excellent and the snowy New York vibe is really appealing. I love it.

This is a movie that laughs at itself! I found it hilarious and it's supposed to be way over the top, it's a satire! Crude, silly and laugh out loud funny, I'll be watching it again this year with a large glass of Baileys in hand. I don't really understand the negative comments but where would we all be if everyone loved the same things? If you love films that laugh at the world and its holidays and family/friend relationships - this one's for you!
