It is terrible the Angel Gabriel once again had to bring a message in the flesh. The solution is NOT the added money to more assessments to determine risks. The money needs to be going to the people served otherwise you are just causing harm making life more complicated and stressful. You are not helping when you claim to be. Time is the only real currency that heals and time invested is what gets things done. People with the money need to stop making it about money and make it about the people so they do not have to read about it. Talk to the people. It is free and you will know if your money was spent on them or not. Right not human services has turned into paperwork mills. So busy writing about what is going on that they are not in the moment. You want to know what saves lives in the human service field? It is so easy and free...Pay Attention!!! Give your full attention. Real attention. Authentic attention. If you would not live in "those" conditions what makes you think it is good enough for another? Adding more assessments and judging people on something they may be at risk for is a waste of time. If you want to know what someone needs help with, just ask what they need help with. The truth is the social services sometimes isn't to help people but rather to help people feel good about themselves taking the job title. The truth is that all these "services" aren't helping. And now it has gotten even worse with workers not even showing up and children are dead. All for money and the children suffer. Yet somehow no one wants to look at the real problems or even bother to attempt to change it because it is too hard. take too much money. or just doesn't work like that. I still hope...change...
