I like how the house was done in the “Putting Down Roots“ episode of season 3 of Home Town. The only thing I was disappointed with was that after the front porch columns were improved in size and detail that those beautiful New Orleans style wrought iron corbels at the tops of the columns were not painted black to match the shutter dogs, repainted to black porch roof railing, and then reinstalled where they had been – that would have fully reasserted, as well as re-enhanced the original exterior New Orleans look of the house which was one of the design factors that appeared to appeal to the wife of the couple who picked the house for Ben and Erin to redo.
