On episode 5 and really enjoying this series. It took a while to get into it, but I am so pleased I stuck with it. There is some violence and the main character is perpetually angry, which I initially found annoying, but what a great weird story. I love it!

A brilliant series. Binoche as Coco Chanel is absolutely superb in portraying this scheming, immoral and difficult woman who collaberated with the Germans for her own ends. I knew nothing about the history of haute couture and found the whole story fascinating. The (true) story of Dior's sister and the French resistance is very moving and Dior's rise in beautifully acted by Mendlesson. I did initially find the actors all talking in French accents very odd, but got used to it as the series progressed. I have to say it is one of the best series I have seen for a long time and I highly recommend it. The story is based on true facts with some embellishments.

A strange and brilliant film. It takes a bit of time to get involved, but I found it a clever and fascinating plot. The scenes in the French court room are so different from what we see in English court scenes. You see how supposition and assumptions can be made to fill in the gaps and make someone appear guilty. The acting is superb and I was gripped right up to the end. Highly recommended.

Brilliant film, superb acting and great script. I knew only a few scraps about Oppenheimer and the film was revelatory and shocking in parts with how he was treated after the war. At the end of the film and the credits started to roll I noticed that the cinema was quiet and no one moved at first, I think we were all left a bit stunned by the power of the film.

Was looking forward to watching this and just about managed to get to the end of the first episode. It was frankly embarrassing to watch incredibly poor ad-libbing, with too much repetition and nothing interesting said. It felt like watching a very poor amateur dramatics group and would really have benefitted from a sharp script. A bit like a case of The Emporer's New Clothes.

No nuance no subtlety , poor script and basically sub Bourne and sub Bond. Surprised Ryan Gosling is in it and Billy Bob Thornton. Not recommended.

Love the humour! Really crass and Stephen Merchant is hilarious as is Olivia Coleman. The story is almost unimportant to the dialogue. I actually did laugh out loud.

I actually quite enjoyed this series as I found myself getting drawn in and wanting to watch the next episode to see what happens, I couldn't predict what was going to come up next, which makes it quite an original and interesting programme. The acting is good and I quite liked the characterisations. Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be from some of the reviews.

Terrible lead role with a US detective shouting and bullying his way across Europe. Awful script with dialogue that just doesn't feel authentic. Story could have made a good film with different screenplay and direction.
