I began taping the Sanditon series so that my grandaughters and I could watch them together. Being fans of Jane Austen's novels, we, of course, were thrilled to be introduced to yet another of her stories. The ending, however, was vastly disappointing, and I am afraid to have my girls watch that last episode. We had been so thoroughly involved with the characters. All I can say is I hope that there is a season 2! We need closure!!! Miss Austen would never had left her characters and readers with such a heartbreaking ending!
