My first review was a bit harsh, plus I got Craig mixed up with Hugh Jackman, so embarrassing, so I deleted it.
Kathie Lee has always been one of my favorite TV personalities. Always admired her Christian values. Been so excited to see this movie from the time she had mentioned it on the Today Show with Hoda. But I have to say I think she jumped into this movie a little too soon after the loss of her husband Frank. I saw to many similarities with her real life, being from Nantucket, husbands name Fred, referencing to making new memories in her life or the old ones with her late husband would kill her, and lacking acting skills, her character Annabelle came across very corny and flirtatious. Singing in the bathtub was a bit 'out there', traipsing around in an over sized men's pajama shirt was too revealing, one night stand, foul language and gestures did not suit a woman who is portraying moving on after the loss of her husband, in fact I found it a bit disrespectful carrying on like her character did.
The script just didn't fit with the one line jokes. It threw off the whole storyline. I felt I was watching B rated Harlequin novel in a way, being so cheesy.
Although the cinematography was beautiful, the story line needed a lot of improvement.
I continue to admire Kathie Lee, but dear, it would be best to stick to your beautiful singing, you meant well I'm sure but a little too soon after your loss, and it showed, too close to home with the revelance. Maybe if you would have toned it down, having Annabelle not be so flamboyant, the romance between the two characters could have been more tasteful done and not so vulgar, it would have been a more realistic storyline.
