Abba. Voyage is a must see for many reasons. Importantly see this to mark a point in time where AI, holography and visual technology produce a magical moment frozen in time that can be repeated ad infinitum. Are all of the details perfect, no. Should they be? Good question. Rest assured that soon they will be. I found the stage bound scenes of the band most compelling and then the close ups of Bjorn. The women’s close-ups are the most difficult as young female skin is prized for its smoothness lack of imperfection. Its hard to use that as a canvass and then make it move realistically as a woman’s facial musculature sings and speaks. Abba Voyage is close but not quite. Someday that challenge will be met … but should it? Do we really want to reproduce reality or do we want to leave some magic for the imagination?
