DO NOT WATCH THIS EXPECTING A HORROR MOVIE. Every promotion my sister and I saw for Lamb said it was folk horror, including when I looked for a synopsis for this movie. We expected it to be a bit out of the box, metaphorical, or maybe just eerie instead of scary because its an A24 production. However, it was so slow it didnt even burn until the last 5 minutes and the storyline of the brother went absolutely nowhere and added almost nothing to the plot. The second I was actually interested is when it ended, and the final reveal reminded me of a wrong turn I took on DeviantArt once when I was 13 and found out what furries were. My sister, buddy, and I were only horrified by the waste of so much time with a story that had so little to tell.

If you want a predictable story line about a rapist cult leader and the women he abuses with an ending that leaves you feeling completely robbed of any meaningful resolution, this is the movie for you! Looking for good cinematography? You can watch everyone stare silently at each other for what feels like 85% of the runtime with an obnoxious slow zoom every!! Single!! Scene!! Be astounded by the stunning visuals of women being abused and assaulted with a cold color palette in vision scenes that feel randomly dropped into the movie that will leave you asking "Hey was that part supposed to be real or--wait no, I guess not. Maybe? What about this one?" Snark aside, this movie manages to be boring and vaguely nauseating at the same time. Dont make the mistake I made and try to stick it out for a satisfying ending-- you wont get it.
