I loved the book and Meryl Streep added a depth with her narration. I thought it provided many interesting insights to summer theatre companies and how this community may provide a foundation for a career in Hollywood and also can be a catalyst for not wanting that life at all. The story made me think about my much younger self and how we all had to make different choices that can provide many different kinds of success and disappointment. How one navigates life and what is ultimately most important is not always clear when your young. The twist and turns kept my attention!
