SAVE YOURSELF 100+ MINUTES!!!!
About 5 minutes into this film I remarked at a scene/dialog "well that's stupid" - and from that point on, it didn't get any better. This was clearly Clooney and Pitt accepting a paycheck and just called it in. SPOILER ALERT: The ending I believe they were trying to pay homage to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid but failed miserably.

Started watching this program immediately after completing another BritBox police drama. Problem was the prior drama had been written, performed, and packaged so well, and Hope Street - not so much. Something had been bothering me about the format of Hope Street and after the 3rd episode I landed on it - the tenor of this program is almost identical to an older US program “Rizzoli & Isles”. Lots of scene switching and banter among the characters with a light musical background accenting the scenes. Not a terrible thing (in fact I enjoyed Rizzoli & Isles), but it was not a serious crime drama, which I believe Hope Street is trying to pull off here.

This pains me as I adore Iliza and her stand-up, but this movie was just awful - I attribute most of it to the writing, but I struggled to keep interested, and well, I didn’t do very well with that.
