Action great, storyline definitely not predictable. Liked the casting. Hope to figure out the vocal dialog between I e and maverick late In the story. Will probably get the dvd/blurry version.

All that was taken from Clancy was the main character and the title. THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT THE BOOK. I am disappointed because there was a real possibility for a great movie with social implications here, but the original story is not found in this movie, if the reviews are correct. Read the book... it is excellent, and a wonderful example of Clancy at his best. IGNORE THIS MOVIE.

The movie did not follow the book exactly, but the storyline modifications made sense and the story followed very very great pattern. I checked out the book and read it after the fact, and it discovered that in the end Thornton was actually killed by Indians. Good storyline, great movie.
