This game is way too underrated.
If I were to say that this game had as good of characters and story as
The last of us,
Red dead redemption,
Detroit; become human,
And so on,
I'd be a liar, because this game beats all of them with an emotional jackhammer.
Gameplay is from Platinum games. Enough said.

The first half is great. The graphics are amazing.
On the other hand,
The last couple chapters are trying so hard to be complex, that the story just becomes stupid. characters have less personality and worse dialogue than the version that came out 23 years ago.
And it's a reboot. Not a remake. Don't let the cover lie to you.
This isn't a biased review from an angry old fan.
I watched the original game *After* beating FFVII remake and I was disappointed *before* even seeing the original.
