I am disappointed. I am a huge Halo fan, I've read the books, played the games and thought the story was thought provoking and well written. So why didn't they just come out of the gate with that? Eric Nylund wrote the books in collaboration with the game designers. He told the story they created. The books were awesome and would have made for a great TV series. Still not sure why they didn't just go with that. As for the Spartans names, yeah, not sure why they didn't keep them as Linda, Kelly and Fred. And one of the tiniest things, but one of the things I hate the most is the coin. IT WAS A QUARTER! Why change it into a UNSC coin??? Just goes to show you that the writers and creator really don't care about the Halo books or the fans. The effects of course are great, and the look and feel are pretty spot on, but why re-invent the wheel? And this whole side story line with the girl from Madrigal?? Skipped all of that. Just fast forwarded through that as I don't care a bit about it. I've waded through shows before, given them a chance, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm just terribly disappointed.
