Unfortunately this film is atrocious and a complete waste of time. I grew up loving The Witches 1990 with Anjelica Huston which was one of my favourite childhood films. I was therefore interested to see how they would remake this but everything about the new version is a huge disappointment. It was shallow, the acting was poor and the film didn't keep close enough to the original storyline. Anne Hathaway was not the right fit for the Grand High Witch. She had no charisma in this role and her performance came across as ridiculous rather than scary. I will keep the original version close to my heart.
