I liked the dark theme of things and how some things were different from the original, as expected. Like I thought Musa being a mind fairy was pretty cool. However:
1. The character cuts and lack of diversity are striking. They could have found a thick Latina to pay Flora or even Terra, and it's kinda weird that they didn't.
2. The characters Bloom, Sky, and Stella were are switched out for the most generic YA novel/ Riverdale-ish characters you've ever seen, the major fault being the fall of Stella's character. And the whole love triangle thing? Really? You cut out Stella's love interest Brandon for this?
3. I have no problem with being politically correct, but PC writing is regularly shoved in unnecessarily a lot in the show and it looks clumsy. The agenda is being severely forced. "Don't feminist me!" What???
4. Aisha is literally the black girl/mother trope of the friend group. She's there to help her white friends solve their problems and support them, but she herself has a lack of story.
