An interesting adaptation of Holly Jackson’s AGGGTM mystery series. I read the books a few years ago and AGGGTM is still one of my all time favorite series. I’m very particular about book-to-movie/tv adaptations as I don’t like the main storyline, characters, and essence of the book to be cut out when they’re adapted which is a very common thing in most book adaptations in recent years. It helped that Netflix adapted it, they are known to do quite well with their adaptations unlike some *ahem* other streamers who try to adapt series unsuccessfully. There were some slight differences in setting, and especially with the “who dun it” part with so many characters being intertwined with Andie’s death. In short, however, it delivered a thrilling and twisting chain of events that adapted the book(s) without losing the heart of the story like so many of the new adaptions do. Netflix’s AGGGTM show didn’t disappoint, it had a clear sense of plot, storyline, and accurate representation of characters that were in the book series. Overall, I am significantly pleased with the AGGGTM show. I think the casting was excellent for each of the characters. The actors perfectly embodied the characters they played. I liked Ravi and Pip in particular. Hopefully, Netflix will greenlight the series for future seasons and we will see how the scenario plays out following Pip in Good Girl, Bad Blood and As Good As Dead.
