There have been many novels over the years that I have fallen in love with, however none of them struck me as deep as “Migrations” did. I can honestly say this is my most favourite book of all time, with “Girl on the Train” following in second place.
This character isn’t perfect, and this book isn’t about a fairytale ending. It’s raw and realistic and brutal, but beautiful. I’ve never loved and related to a character as much as Franny Stone simply based on her flaws and painfully deep sense of feeling.
The book is beautifully written and a masterpiece for those who love the natural world and anyone who has ever been through any emotional turmoil. This book broke my heart and put all the pieces together again at the same time. 🕊️
