Disney managed to take a sci-fi/horror and turn it into a children's show for adults. Blood but no wounds, shallow plots, member-berries. The writing/dialogue is childish and lazy. The whole motivation behind the new synths is that the boy genius wanted to have conversations with someone more intelligent than him. When pointing out the synths are already more intelligent, he clarifies that it's not just from an information standpoint, he's seeking emotional intelligence. A child's brain is his solution for providing an emotionally intelligence debate. There is now a magic gun that will stun and encapsulate the Alien, yet the marines didn't have that technology 150+ years later?
