Our Flag Means Death is a delightful comedy that rewards repeat watches. I laughed, I cried, I was profoundly moved--and in every shot there's something I missed the first time. The performances, which start out quite broad, quickly develop nuance that I found myself thinking about long after the end, and the characters have made a home in my heart. For extra fun, watch what any given actor is doing in the background of a scene--there is so much talent concentrated here. The sets are gorgeous and the needle drops exquisite. My favourite show of the past couple of years hands-down.
