The best Southern Rock album you'll ever hear, written in the same vein as Mellencamp's Scarecrow album i.e about life experiences ranging from heroin addiction to the depression of a man whose lost everything with some upbeat rockalong song's, power vocal and superb picking, a very unique band there's nothing like them out there although Medlocke has slipped a bit of the Foot sound into Skynyrd having rejoined them, highly recommended if you like gritty story song's and some Yeeeeehaw! for good measure.

Probably one of the best ten albums ever created, it gets forgotten but I revisit it quite often as will music appreciators of properly constructed music in years to come as it's a flow album where each track merges with the last seamlessly, best played in the car on long journey's or late night cans on volume up, a timeless classic from an era where artistry trumped profit every time with the likes of Journey, Floyd, Yes, ELO, Boston, Queen, to name a few perfectionists, best summary I can give is when a Hippy finds a piano and sax on the same day.

One of those movies that won't appeal to those who need action and little to think about other than the wow factor, however if you like movies that don't reveal themselves until the last minute of it this is for you, I thought it was excellent myself but that could also be an age dependant thing as I might not have thought so when I was young, I could write the spoiler but it will alter your perception & probably deny you the same viewing experience it gave me, highly recommended.

This album got a right trashing from the media at the time, I always liked it but not as much as the debut self titled album but run forward 40 years and it's even better than it was in the day, I think it's original fault was it was a bit more polished than Iron Maiden was and that gave the impression that the band had become less raw edge when it in fact laid down foundations for the next 3 blistering efforts in NOtB PoM and Powerslave.
