Overhyped movie. But poor execution. Vijay carried the whole movie in his shoulder, but the movie has worthless story. Sneha is so beautiful. Editing, CG, Makeup, Casting, especially heroine, Camera framing and lighting, story, introduction of Vijayakanth, Trisha are negative for the movie. The way Vijay misses his son, Mohan as international mafia but weakly displayed, why Prabu deva is against Vijay (without intention) are weak zones. One scene before there was murder attempt for vijay... How he casually let his family in hospital. VP means Very Poor in using brain. other poor things are songs placement, villain bgm and Vijay's look. The main thing is, as a International mafia leader Mohan could revenge Vijay's family as simple. Why he wants to grow his son for revenge. The main thing is, as a International mafia leader Mohan could close Vijay family as simple. Why he wants to grow his son for revenge. To show villains horror, he unnecessarily betrayal heroine.... Not engaged as a common audience while watching for me and people surround me in theatre.

Mani Ratnam showed love beyond love. PC Sriram camera keeps everyone at 2 deg C. Some of closeup shots comes at right moment. Ultimate is Ilayaraja, who is the hero of movie. No one in the world can do better BGM for this movie except Ilayaraja. Violin was tuned with our nerves. Music & movie made in heaven.

Suriya is outstanding in choosing the scripts which discusses dirts in our society and counsels the right way to come out of that. Suriya is modern PERIYAR. Very good movie. Must watch.

One of the outstanding Rajini movie in terms of all aspects like Rajini, BGM, punch dialogues, Radha Ravi, Cinematography, story etc....

This is a blende of Rajini and Nelson style movie. Story plot is really good. Nelson's sreenplay keeps us engaged. Rajini and Villain vinayagam performed beyond expectations results fresh outcome. There is no overdose of heroism. Music elevates rajinism and keeps movie feel good. Interval block is a goosebump piece. Violence is bit more. After long time, a very good Rajini movie. I watched twice.
