I don't know why everyone thinks this movie was so bad. It was NOT based off the first disney adaption of the legend of mulan. It was based directly off the legend. The movie was amazing. It may not have the catchy songs but it was still funny at certain points. Keep in mind during the movie that this one is more serious. Over all I have asked people I know who have watched it. Most of them actually like this live-action adaption of the legend better than the 1998 adaption.
