About: Three seasons, about 25 - 30 minutes an episode, sub for the last one, which is about 40. Content: this show is about catholic school girls in Derry, Ireland in the 90s, during a time of war. They are joined by an English boy in an all girls school. It doesn’t have much race variation, but it has representation of LGBTQIA+ youth, specifically lesbians. It was genuinely a really, really good show about teenagers, that can be relatable to teenagers. It does have a lot of curse words though, so if that bothers you this show is not for you. Overall, this show was actually amazing, one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. I love all the characters, especially Orla, and Sister Micheal. The friendship dynamics are real and funny, and I feel like James is a great character addition and just makes it all work. I wish we could have seen more between him and Erin, but it makes sense why we didn’t get it. It a funny show, sweet, heartfelt and just really close to home. But even though it’s set in a sad time in history, it isn’t a sad show. It’s great, the music is out of this world (im a cranberries fan so this may be partial but still). I loved this show and I will rewatch. It is TV-MA and has some pretty ‘spicy’ undertones at times, so it is not for kids by any means. But overall, good show.

About: Dark comedy, two seasons, about 25 - 30 minutes an episode Overall, It was a good show, pretty funny but it was really hard for me to get on the two main characters, Alyssa and James, side especially in the beginning. Like the scene with the waitress; though I did appreciate her little redemption in season two. Alyssa’s PTSD from the situation (not spoiling it, not spoiling it; season one, mid season i think?) was pretty well displayed I think, not sure about any of that though, like medically. I felt terrible for Alyssa’s (ex)fiancé (season two) and I really think it soured me on her, but through out the whole show I found her a tad bit annoying, in my option she was kind of unbearable half the time and like super cool girl boss the other half. But in all, pretty good show, season one was better, season two was darker and did bring up some like mental health stuff, so look up triggers if you think you might be upset by it and pay attention to yourself.

Overall The show Ginny and Georgia was overall, pretty good. It has a ton of representation so you’re pretty much insured you can find a character you relate to, whether your a person of color, mixed, part of the LGBTQIA+ community, a child of divorce, or suffering with your mental health. Speaking of which, the show does contain some pretty heavy stuff so I definitely recommend looking up content warnings and listening to yourself and what you can and can not handle. Episodes are about an hour each, and there are currently two seasons with one on the way SPOILERS + Trigger warning, mention of eating disorders and depressive episodes, sorry its long i have a lot to say Ginny Ginny is the main character, she is mixed and new to a school in suburban town. Her mom is Georgia and she does not live with her father, Zion. She is struggling with her mental health and feeling included in her new environment. I personally relate to Ginny, but I don't love her as a character especially in the first season. I know she has been through a lot but personally, I think she acts very spoiled and honestly bratty to her mom and her brother Austen. Ginny and her friend group Ginny’s friend group dynamic feels really realistic and I admire that about the show. They aren’t always ‘besties’ but eventually they are always there for eachother Abby In the show Abby is portrayed to have an eating disorder and tape her legs, but I feel like even though it is heavily hinted through out the show and in both seasons, it’s never really addressed. There is one conversation about it in the entire show and it’s incredibly short. I wish they covered it more, but hey, there is still a season 3. Marcus In the beginning of the show I kind of hated Marcus as he basically encouraged her to cheat on her boyfriend with him, and I know that is definitely her fault but still. He’s portrayed as like a skateboarding bad boy in the first season but he does have a lot a character change. I like the way the show handled his depressive episodes, even though I have no idea about any of that, so take that note with a grain of salt. Conclusion I liked most of the show, I wish we saw more of Padma and Abby but still, I get it. I’m exited for season 3!!
