Marlan Wayans was quite a surprise in his supporting role as Ms Franklin's 1st husband. He played his role so well that his swagger reminded me of the one and only Denzel Washington (I thought). I want to see more serious lead roles for him. And Jennifer Hudson was very realistic as Aretha Franklin but we knew that, we knew she was going to knock it out of the park! Five stars for the entire cast and writers!
