This story took me on a journey during which my opinion on refugees was changed dramatically.
How we can stand in our ivory towers and critisis others who flee the comfort of their homes because their lives are crumbling around them.
They lose literally everything. Not just bricks and mortar but the children who are brutally murdered. They lose their dignity and all hope of safety. That's why they come here. We need to embrace them not turn them away.
