As a 13 YR girl this book a better book for any age! The mystery of Angeline reddy will have you hooked! It is truly a hard book to put down. When I first got the book I was trying to read something similar to Anne of green gables or 1800s basically, And boy! I tell you this is very similar to Anne of green gables. This book is pretty safe for children too read the only thing as I would be aware of is that Angeline reddy does meet a boy who flirts with her only a little but nothing inappropriate and for me as a Christian the only thing that bothered me is when their talking about the ghost of Angeline’s friends dead sister I believe, and when some men were dressed as devils for some reason, maybe trying to show they were rebels against the system. Other than that nothing is bad! I really recommend the book if you want that “Burbs” feelings with “Anne of green gables” and a hint of “The Untouchables”!
