Does not do the book justice!!! I understand that there was a lot of story to cram into 2 hours — but the whole thing felt extremely rushed. I also felt that the casting was off; Kya didn’t feel as isolated and wild in the movie, as depicted in the book. The movie really lacked the overall suspense that the book portrays, and there are so many key details and powerful moments of story-telling that just felt completely left handed out. I did, however, enjoy the visuals of the movie and seeing Kya’s work brought to life. If you read the book and fell absolutely in love with it — the movie might feel like it butchered the story.
