If being a conservative Evangelical Christian is your thing, this Bible is for you. But if you're not (and NOT all Christians are conservative or Evangelical) then this will definitely not suit you. There is a lot of very judgemental, unscientific, and hateful commentary towards other religions that is completely inaccurate. Comfort actually presents the Catholic faith as a separate religion from "real" Christianity, and claims that the commandment of "no graven images" is taken out of the Cathloic version of the 10 commandments. That is just false! I have a copy of the authorized Catholic church Bible, and "no graven images" is there, right in black and white! This is a myth perpetuated by many conservative Protestants who do not understand. Comfort makes other claims about world religions that are false, unscientific claims that are not based in facts. And yes, to be honest, I AM Christian, but just think the commentary mixed in is a load of hooey!
