So disappointing. They tried to create a Fifty Shades of Grey in a post apocalyptic world between two people that never had chemistry. I love Michonne, a strong, fearless warrior who is also a loving Mom. Michonne begging Rick the whole time to stay with her was repulsive and out of character. It would have been better to tell Rick that they hadn't given up on him being alive and that the family was awaiting his return. Being the strong woman that she is, she should have left him and returned to her children...her priority. Andrew Lincoln's portrayal of Rick was true to the character. I believe after learning that his family was still alive, it would have reignited his resolve to go home in due time. The criticism is not of the actor's portrayals but of the writing and story. The new characters of Beale, Okafor, Thorpe and Nat were great. Terry O'Quinn was amazing as ever. What a major talent. As for the Thorpe character, I was two sentences behind trying to unravel what she was saying. It was difficult to understand her. Matthew Jeffers who portrays Nat, was a natural. Nat's story and dialogue were credible and well written.
The best part of this series is that you get to see that there is still hope for a future of normalcy. Huge well equipped communities, with scientists hard at work trying to figure this all out.
I was really looking forward to something in line with the first 7 seasons. After that, TWD took a nosedive. I hope this hasn't really buried it forever.
