Transparent is a well crafted series about a dysfunctional,self-absorbed family.Maura,although a scholar,struggles with sentences and descriptions about herself and her feelings. The characters self indulgences somehow are relegated to discoveries of themselves in a background of erotica and sensuality.Life is so much more.We evolve in our thinking and are not always looking for other people. The series focus on happiness only at the cost of finding someone to love without ever finding yourself ,I find hard to accept. We are beings in evolution. Evolving to the next stage and in the series,all the characters stay in the pond.The characters are reactive to situations that happen around them. Definitely an enlightening subject and the hospital scene where gender is specific,ends up being the most poignant.

Absolutely brilliant!!! Catherine O'Hara is such a delight as also the Levy's and Alexis. All the characters ,Stevie too marvellous.
