Ron Howard delivers again! Glenn Close and Amy Adams should win Oscars ! This movie grabs you , holds you tightly and says Look, look at life! This film is in your face, and it never backs off. But as like all great tragedies, you cannot look away, but the aftertaste makes you feel like you want to vomit. I mean if you enjoy a good docudrama about the life of a junky, Adams character, then you are in luck. I personally didn’t care for this film because it was sad throughout. I respect the quality of the film, and the acting was superb, and that’s the only reason that I give it 2 stars. I’m not interested in films about drug addiction and how it tears families to shreds. That’s just my personal take on how not to be entertained.

It’s a good show for the most part. But it’s kind of hard to watch Walton Goggins and his buddies act like a bunch of sissies half the time. I know I’m going to get flack for that comment, but it’s Walton Goggins ! He’s so much better than his character on The Unicorn. I know it’s a different show and Goggins is playing a different character but when he played Boyd Crowder on Justified he was brilliant. The Unicorn is a good show, but it’s a little too syrupy. My opinion

This movie is worth of your investment. It has flaws, like it’s extreme silliness, and in some scenes extreme immaturity, but it’s Sandler. In fact , it’s classic Sandler, and I was starting to panic that Adam forgot how to make great movies . This film is really entertaining. It doesn’t allow the viewer to relax and wait for the next good part because The Do Over is full of twists and turns. Sandler and Spade are at the top of their game in this dark comedy. I loved it, but am only giving it 4 stars because it’s not perfect, but at the end of the film you’ll be highly satisfied, and that’s all that really matters. 👍👍

I can’t imagine the director saying cut, and then having a great feeling as to what they have just directed. Then there is the cast. They must feel very proud of themselves. I watch the show every week just so I can see if I can get through a full episode without laughing. And I succeed every week. The lead actress just might be the worst actress who’s ever performed on network tv. She is beyond not funny. Please cancel this show. It’s very bad! If I could give this show negative stars I would have given it 5 negative stars.

The movie is 95% chaos. Adam Sandler plays a really good part as a man who’s trying to make a better life for himself, but it’s really a great life’s lesson on what happens to a man who cuts corners in doing so. The movie never settles down...... it’s chaotic throughout. And if you’re waiting for the good part of the movie to come along , HAHA good luck! But the movie moves along briskly, and it keeps you watching , because you really need to know how this sucker ends. I won’t give away the ending, but iI will say it’s very surprising. Now I think I’ll go rent a Disney movie to wash the bad taste out of my brain that this train wreck imprinted on it. 👎

I had a hard time with this film. On the one hand I say Wow, Tom Hanks nailed Mr. Rogers perfectly, and double Wow to the man who was Mr. Rogers. What a beautiful person he was. The trouble though was the premise of the movie. A magazine writer who went on assignment to Pittsburgh to write a piece on Mr. Rogers. A true story about a troubled man who learned to be a better person by hanging out with Rog, a pet name he got from Mrs. Rogers. But anyways the magazine writer was just an unlikable mess. I realize that that is life, but when wanting to be entertained for 2 hours, you don’t want to watch a train wreck of a man. So bottom line if you were hoping to see a very positive and beautiful movie, you might be a bit disappointed. Two stars I give this film because Tom Hanks was brilliant.
