I’m sure this game is great on PC but if you are planning on buying this game for console (both last gen and current) DON’T. I really want to love this game and for many many hours, I did. Combat is rewarding and in-depth, graphics are visually stunning, gameplay is absurd and playful. I just cannot get past how poorly treated the console player base is by the development team. There are no crossplay parties and Playstation cannot even cross-gen party. Tornbanner had said this would be addressed shortly after launch and as of writing (almost a year later) they still are dragging their feet. There is no button remapping on console. There is no FOV slider on console. There is no server browser on console. There is no chat on console versions. There are bugs specifically for console versions that break the game (invisible players, invisible weapons, spawning without weapons, people with the wrong color armor, etc). Hit detection is abysmal, blue screens are very common (more so on last gen versions of the game but apparent nonetheless), and server disconnects are obvious at peak times. You can go on Discord or Reddit and mention any or all of these bugs and you won’t get feedback. Tornbanner has demonstrated they only care about the PC player base, don’t even bother on console. They need to rerelease the beta version and start from scratch because every update gets worse with the playability issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This game is worth $20, if that.
