An excellent depiction of the bravery and skill of our young airmen under supremely draining andharrowing conditions over Europe. Having read Air Apaches about the Pacific air war, and having had an uncle(Uncle Tal Epps) who flew 109 missions in a B-25, I am touched by their dedicated service. 59 of those missions were flown to allow him to stay in Australia with the woman he loved and eventually brought back to the states as his wife--my Aunt Ruth. My uncle actually cheated death twice when two different transports he was supposed to be on (one was for a long-anticipated R& R to Sydney) crashed with no survivors.
The commitment to our nation from the men and women of the Greatest Generation can never be either fully appreciated nor satisfactorily honored.
