Amazing movie both cinematically and as far as the acting goes. You really get a feel for the characters, even though the portrayal of some are very brief. You get a true understanding of the intense emotion, faith, and biological needs they had and how they maintained their spirits till the end. For those saying ‘Alive’ was a better portrayal of this situation, don’t realize how much more this movie humanizes the characters and real life struggles that this group of young adults faced. This movie was long but the length was necessary to showcase all the struggles they overcame to survive and for me, allowed a more respectful portrayal of these individuals. Ps to those who think they should have more hair: Starving and dehydration can limit hair growth so they wouldn’t all have long beards. They were pretty factual in regards to the details of this situation.
