Let me preface this by saying I’ve read and own all the books, the 1st book I’ve read twice and i love the storyline and the concept. That being said, I was a little disappointed when i watched the movie, not because its bad, but because it feels like too many key aspects of the books were changed. It also felt a little rushed and didn’t really give me the “fairytale” feeling that the books did. I also noticed that a lot of details from the second book were included in the film, making it a little confusing at times. They also made Agatha’s character kind of helpless at times which is not how she handles things in the books. The scenery is beautiful and I loved the costumes, and overall not a bad experience, would definitely watch again. I love the cast, and they did an amazing job in their roles, and i was so happy to see so many familiar, talented faces throughout the movie. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for the franchise :)
