Jawan is phenomenally entertaining and consistently engaging. It's Stylish, slick and action-packed film which l has actions, thrills, patriotism and gripping storyline. Shahrukh Khan has once again bounced back after the super success of Pathan with a bang and has made his fans delighted.
The movie begins with a bang introducing Shahrukh Khan as a mysterious man in a remote northeast village. JiVikram Rathore (Shah Rukh Khan), a dynamic soldier who chooses an unconventional way to help the society. He hijacks a metro train and holds the passengers as the hostages & puts forth his demands to Khaali Gaikwad (Vijay Sethupathi) Rest of the movie is all about Shahrukh Khan & Shahrukh Khan fighting against crony capitalism, bad loans, farmer suicides, neglected government hospitals, defective military weapons & dirty politics. This is what the film is about.
Jawan is a hard-hitting, exhilarating and equally thought-provoking action thriller where director Atlee uses the protagonist to convey a number of messages and says things that need to be said.
Talking of performances, SRK deliver exceptional performances. He looks very dashing and his performance is outstanding. He is brilliant in every frame. In some of the emotional moments, he’s quite endearing. Without any doubt, SRK is the most charming guy in Bollywood. He’s stylish, he’s confident and has a different aura around him in this film. He truly leaves a mark in both his roles as Vikram Rathore and Azad.
Vijay Sethupathi brings his charm and gravitas. He is powerful and menacing. Nayanthara looks breathtaking in each and every frame she’s in. She carries her role with Elan & has performed stunts effortlessly.
Deepika Padukone in a memorable special appearance has created an impact in her role. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, and Girija Oak are adequate in their respective roles.
Director Atlee is known for packing his movies with good entertainment elements, and with Jawan, too, he does the same. He presented Shah Rukh in the way fans wish to see him. Story is loaded with twists and turns. Screenplay is effective and engaging for most parts.
Anirudh’s background is as-usually good, and it helps the film to go a few notches higher. GK Vishnu's cinematography deserves a special mention The film abounds in special effects and some of them are at par with international standards
Overall, Jawan is a action entertainer which has style as well as enough twists and turns to keep viewers engrossed.
