For a medical drama the show portrays a lot of unrealistic stuff! What is a neurologist doing in a cardiac surgery, how do the staff/ consultants/ director walk into an OR during a surgery without basic gear like a mask or gloves leave alone scrubbing; why does the medical director know everything about all specialities… they are mostly medical specialists with a degree in hospital administration or with immense experience in hospital management and administration! Diagnosis is often being done through guess work and not based on history with diagnostic tools and somehow everyone seems to be an expert across all specialisations. No anesthesia fitness, triple H, or blood work up before surgery? At least grouping & there’s always blood which is indented before most surgeries. Everything seems to be an emergency but how do you know whether a patient is medically fit to go under anesthesia? A medical oncologist in an OR/ ED?
Post Covid the doctors are wearing masks as they are marching around the hospital or when they enter towards a patient’s bed and conveniently take it off while speaking to them or examining them! So do they take off masks while speaking to each other, isn’t that exactly when & why you are supposed to wear them in the first place?
Never heard of such fallacies in the real hospital world!
