This book had great impact on me as a young grad student. I enjoyed the perspective Andrea had of life in post Civil War Spain. I was experiencing some of the same feelings after having fled Cuba in the mid sixties. I highly recommend this book to anyone attempting to understand a young adolescent wading through a major upheaval in their life.
