Okay, I see the vision Oz Perkins had, but I feel the story felt very confined and didn’t reach in many places where it could have.
For me, I adore cult-like themes in movies. I find them so incredibly interesting and when I heard there were incorporations in Longlegs, I was excited to watch. But honestly, these themes were so minuscule in the story that I felt almost disappointed at the lack of it. But even without these themes, I didn’t find the overall movie interesting. I was on the edge of my seat awaiting some crazy reveal and… nothing - completely let down. I genuinely don’t see the scare in this movie, it just feels like one big let down.
