Thomas Lynch

I really enjoyed the original series. These latest episodes close the family down badly. It is great to meet Lorelai and Rory again, and great to see familiar faces and sets and streets again. But no fast paced dialogue, no clever references, no sense of growth and maturity. Emily, Luke, Jess, Dean, Soukie are wheeled in as completely unrecognisable characters serving only to remove the memory of well developed and valued members of a previously well crafted drama. I guess the world ends, not with a bang but with a whimper. That's a reference previous series would have understood, this addition would not.

I love being lectured to by rich people- particularly when it's branded entertainment.
