I feel like every review, especially the lower ones, don’t really understand the point of the Film. It’s analog horror, sure, but it’s more than that. It’s trying to exemplify the feeling of being all alone as a child, waking up in the middle of the night and no one being there.
everything has a purpose. The camera angles are meant to show everything compared to the size of the protagonists. Flashlights because they can’t reach the light switch, I could go on. To some, it takes away from the film, but aren’t meaningless.
It’s very much made for a type of person. Not the balls to the walls jumpscarer, not the 80’s slasher, but the slow, menacing analog enjoyer. As the ladder, I feel it deserves much better. 5 stars all around, does what it sets out to do.
