Great movie starring Peter O'Toole. A British government worker, sent to control the Bedouin, goes native and earns the respect of the various tribal leaders. The story shows O'Toole's ransformation and the struggle he has with his torn loyalties. O'Toole is magnificent in the role, and though it is a long film, it flies by, because the story is engrossing, the setting incredible, and it allows the viewer to gain a better understanding of the Arab factions, the politics of actual imperialism in Britain near the sunset of the Empire. It's one of my all-time favorites starring O'Toole. Highly recommend.
