The scene where Pip was crying out of fear when she saw Sal being enraged in the interrogation room and thus believing 'he might be the murderer after all' reeked of blatant racism and racial profiling and made me feel disgustingly nauseous-playing out the the caricature of a fragile white women being tremulously afraid of the 'unbridled rage' of a POC men is just sick and I cannot believe they still employ it. Also POCs facing such systemic oppression as well as societal and personal being seen as 'unreasonable' for their justifiable rage because they mostly get punished by carceral systems simply for being POCs and becoming minoritsed communities is just so abhorring to see on the screen.
Pip's line of 'I would not behave like that' did not sit right with me at all, and despite her realising that Sal was innocent after all, her perception of him then and her confrontation with and confession to Ravi regarding Ravi's brother's innocence can NEVER be taken back.
Also, the very same Pip who emphasised on Sal's unbecoming attitude conveniently fails to mention the accusatory, reproachful and condescendingly aggressive tone the interrogator adopted while interrogating Sal.
