Previous reviewers were being kind. The CGI editors spent so much time on the background obstacles and objects that when they finally turned their attention to the human bodies, the resulting effect is one of a poor video game rendering, with unrealistic facial expressions and weird… stretching? The infants in the beginning were in poor taste and was it absolutely necessary to focus on her (you know who) breasts that long when panning up her body? Maybe that’s just a DC MO. The plot was okay. Though, the interaction with the villain takes up so little time of the movie, it makes me question whether the build up was worth it. The flashbacks and role reprisals were well done, I applaud the producers for that as well as the subtler humor than what we’ve seen in recent Marvel movies. But overall, I left rather disappointed in my choice of movie for a Friday night. The fact that my husband fell asleep mid showing speaks volumes.
