I honestly enjoyed this movie, not expecting much going in. It's by no means a classic, and not something I'm going to watch every year. It's predictable and a bit silly. But on the other hand, it's simply entertaining in a kind of zany way. CGI elves reeking havoc on a bunch of car thieves? Santa singing the blues in jail, with the E-Street Band? It's like the director threw in a bunch of ridiculous situations just to see what would stick. And I never expected Kurt Russell as being interested in playing Santa Claus, but he looks like he's loving this role. He may be why I enjoyed it...he had so much enthusiasm. And the cameo at the end was a nice touch too. All in all, if you like Christmas themed movies, it's worth checking out.
