A stinking pile of a first episode. Lousy writing. Unattractive leads. Lame cgi. No charm whatsoever. And woke, of course. But what about all the 5 stars reviews?! Yeah, okay. One and done for me.

Woke nonsense with abysmal storytelling.

Lion King at Minskoff Theater had cool costumes and visual effects—and some decent singing. But the dancing was sluggish and the story, of course, was not for anyone older than 10 years old. The greatest surprise for me was probably the thunderous applause and standing ovation at the end. Wow. Kool-Aid, anyone? Low-brow entertainment for a lackluster age.
