*spoilers*
Where to start.
The film is riddled with bad and uncanny cgi, that is so distracting it takes away any tension in the scenes where it’s present, which is basically every scene.
The story is decent if a little unoriginal, Micheal Keatons Batman was a standout, he gave a good performance and had a real stage presence.
The other universe version of the flash was annoying as hell and him being a twist villain happens out of nowhere.
The film had my attention in the first half, and I was enjoying it despite its flaws. However as soon as they rescue super girl from the Russian lab the whole film goes downhill. Not because of her at all I thought she was an intriguing character, just the film as a whole fails so badly with its final act that it ruins the entire thing.
I hate the cameos so much at the end of they have no purpose being there other then cameos, they also look like something out of the polar express. The cgi is so horribly uncanny and I wanted to bleach my eyes after seeing them.
There’s also a love interest that has no chemistry at all with Barry Allen (the flash).
There are a few redeeming qualities, like Batman and super-girl. And a few action sequences are actually well done like the Batman chase sequence at the start of the film for example. And some of the comedy is actually quite funny, not all of it though some of it is painfully bad.
I don’t know how the studio were happy with releasing this in the state that it’s in, it feels like a first draft. All in all this one should have stayed delayed indefinitely.
