What can I say. Do not disrespect 20 years of established storyline and generations of fans to create something 'new'. This is not a new universe. The CGI is terrible for 2022 Master Chief speaks and sounds like a typical American soldier in a modern war movie. They have completely deviated from source material. This reminds me a lot of what DC have done to their many live action tv series. What's next? Cheif has a romance? Marvel became a successful cinematic universe by keeping extremely close and honoring original established concepts and source material. Do not recast established characters to a different race when there are plenty of strong characters already of this race. 2 stars for having the original sheild regen sound, original weapons, pelicans and plasma sticky grenades. After Covid, and doom and gloom in the world, this feels like another slap in the face. Eff you Paramount. And don't get started with a face reveal in the first episode. Ever heard of hype??
